What may come hidden
Every breeding and every shop box can write a stored gene neither parent had. It never shows on the child, but it passes on, and that is how a lineage starts carrying secrets.

How the lab does the math
Each parent gives half
For every part, the child takes one gene from each parent, the visible one or the stored one, coin flip, and draws which of the two to show. The same rule as the genetics page, now in numbers.
The pattern flip
When both parents are the same pattern and each wears at least one part of the SAME other pattern, there is a 10% chance the child is born 100% that other pattern. The shortcut for those who hunt swapped parts.
The stored-gene mutation
On breeding and in the shop box, a stored gene can come out unlike anything the parents had: a 10% chance for the first, 1% for the second, 0.01% for the third, never more than three. The new value draws from 85% common or uncommon, 10% rare, 4% mythic and 1% special eye, the last on eyes only.
The secret stays secret
The lab computes odds, it does not reveal genes. What a real creature carries stored away is only found out by breeding, and that is why lineage is worth something.
